Reverend Joseph Joel Jones

Reverend Joseph J Jones was elected Pastor in December 2014 and was officially installed May 3, 2015

Reverend Jones comes to us from Brooklyn where he was Co-Pastor of the Greater Zion Shiloh Baptist Church, where his father is the Senior Pastor. Reverend Jones is extremely passionate about spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is a vigorous advocate for the proper education of our youth and providing services and resources for all. Reverend Jones understands that you can only do a much as you know how to do. He believes that with the right knowledge it grants the individual real power to accomplish
what seems to be impossible.

Reverend Jones is the third son of the Reverend and Mrs. G.T.M. Jones, Sr. He was formally educated in the Public School System in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Samuel Tilden High School , and after graduation with honors, he volunteered to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Immediately after his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Rev. Jones acquired employment at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He served as the first Borough-Wide Clergy Liaison for the District Attorney, which covered all Houses of Worship in the Brooklyn area regardless of denomination. Currently he is the Faith Based Coordinator of Programs and Initiatives for the Human Rights Commission for the Mayor of NYC. This position grants him the ability to assist every house of worship in the five boroughs to learn about the Human Rights Laws of NYC and a host of other resources available to them and their congregants.

Reverend Jones furthered his education and has earned the following:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Theology
– Master’s Degree in Theology and Divinity from the Lighthouse Community College
– He is also the Advisor for the United Precinct Clergy Council of Brooklyn, and a Member of the 79th Pct. Clergy Council

Pastor Jones is married to Dr. Armeshia Jones and is the father of two daughters, Gabriella & Alexandria Jones.
